Bowl Payouts
Is it just me or are the Bowl Payouts hard to find this year? Much of what I have seen has been based on last years numbers. For example, I was pretty sure Belk and Liberty were supposed to increase payouts but I can't find anything that says what the 2014-2015 payouts are. For example, everything I have seen on Miami is TBD while Detroit has been reported 1.2 Mil for new teams. I remember USA TODAY use to print the payouts when they showed their bowl list, that is now gone. Does anyone have a link to what the "Supposed" payouts are suppose to be?

Good question. I also wonder what happens to the $80M that the Rose and Sugar are each supposed to get and give to the B1G/PAC/SEC/XII. From all indications, it looks like the money just does not get dispersed to those conferences this year.

That's correct.

From one the links the Commuter Bob posted it appears that way. Guess it the price of having a playoff? However, the amount given during the other non-host years still averages out to quite a bit more than before.

That would make sense ~ it seems that the "CFP money" comes from the media rights to the two semi-final games and the NCG, so when the Big Bowls are hosting the semi-finals, they can't also get paid for the media rights to those games.

Not sure if accurate for the bigger bowls. Fiesta isn't 18 million and the ticket city cactus bowl is the old payout as I think it's no higher than $1 million since this is the least bowl for the Pac and Big 12.

This whole new bowl cycle with the playoffs; it's not as easy to see as before.
