Most pundits think Ky could beat the Sixers, maybe it's just a bad day for Memphis basketball

That's what a real team does. Even when they play like ****, they pull out a win.

Pundits? They must be idiotic college basketball pundits like Vitale et al or KY fans that think a college team can beat a pro team. The Sixers would annihilate the Wildcats.`

Props to the Grizz for pulling out a win even though they played like **** for 3.5 quarters.

There's a reason why phrases like "grit n grind" and "all heart" resonate with fans.

Good win by the grizz.

Infer what you will

Where is Mimi? Stopped doing the 20/20 hindsight of the game thread? I miss it so much. I'll get started ...

Some days you just don't play well. It happens to every team.

RE: ***Official Memphis vs Oklahoma State Game Thread***
The sad thing about this is that, Josh Pastner hasn't been a good coach for years now. He's always had good talent but never did anything with it. Everybody always made excuses when falling short of expectations year after year. Media made excuses for him always blaming certain players Wesley Witherspoon, Joe Jackson ect. Now that he can't get good talent (unless it's a package deal) because kids see how bad of a coach he is and the lack of development under him. The program will continue this desent whiles he's coach. Jp hasn't done anything since he's been here at Memphis. If your ok with a one and done showing in the tournament every year than fine. The quality of players we can get has caught up with him and it's showing. IMO the Lawson can't save this program next year alone. Going to need a little more.

But i saw some things that gives me hope. We scored the same number of baskets as OSU 20 baskets each. We dominated the boards. There is a good core here IF we can find 7 or 8 players who want to play for the team.

It is bad when you have more turnovers than assist, but even worst then you have more turn overs than baskets. Too many times i saw the ball come across court then you see either one pass or sometimes no passes and then a low percentage shot taken or a turn over.

Maybe it is time to run off some more players. There are some bad apples out there and it is spreading to the whole team. Lots of selfish play. Even when we run the offense we have players walking through it instead of giving it their all.

I think Burrell, Nichols and Iverson came to play and did what they could. The rest of the team i have no idea what they were doing today. But even those three were not at the level they should have been and had too many turnovers. .

King was completely out of control all night. Guards were sickening in the way they played.

Yeah. Take it out on the players. Hot take.

Some only come around after a win, some only after a loss. Both typed are the same kind of coward.
