If you noticed in the article his HS was perennially bad too until recently.

Kids have a million different motivations...why did Diem and McCareims come to NIU when it was a dumpster fire? B/c of Novak and the vision he created around building something and forever being the foundation of that.

And guess what....they are legends and love and are lived by NIU for being exactly that.

Yes, but I get the feeling he's going to transfer after getting beat out by Reggie Bell.

He was a 4*, but didn't have any big time offers. A sports writer told me that he was a 'camp whore' who went to any and every camp possible and would put up big numbers, but didn't necessarily translate all to the game.

I would go to a school that has good offensive linemen if I was a stud rb. Dont think EMU falls in that category. Actually, NIU has had sone good lines, as well as Toledo and CMU

Toledo already had 2 RB commits.

Here's another nice pickup for EMU. QB Travis Smith, former player of the year in Michigan, is transferring from Wake Forest to EMU. Impressive dual threat stats. He'll have to sit out 2015 but imagine him tag teaming with Reggie Bell in 16 and 17.

This kid was originally a Toledo commitment but when Clausen left BGSU, the kid switched to Wake. If he would have stayed close to home he would have been at Toledo all along, now he is at EMU.

EMU's 4* QB was mediocre in HS. He played here (Toledo) and certainly didn't do anything locally to warrant such a lofty rating.

EMU getting any talent is impressive. Especially if they bring recruits to a game where 500 disinterested fans once in a while will clap in between games of trivia crack.

Turner looks especially nice.
