Thanksgiving TV ratings
Maybe the lesson is, "Don't pay attention to overnights."

The overnights showed LSU/Texas A&M at .8 on ESPN and Texas/TCU at .3 on FS1. That .8 was horrible for ESPN, one of the worst of the year, while the .3 was merely average for FS1. The finals show 1.4 and 0.7, both good ratings opposite the NFL, especially with the Cowboys playing (they were in the mid-afternoon time slot).

The 1.4 on ESPN was the 4th best TH night of the year (FSU/UL at 3.1 was the best). The .7 was the 3rd best FS1 game all year, behind only Baylor/Oklahoma-1.3, and Baylor/W. Virginia-1.0 (both on Saturdays).

... and no doubt the NFL was even more formidable that night, what with the Thanksgiving game being a big one, 49ers vs Seahawks, whereas many of the NFL Thursday night games earlier in the year were ... turkeys, LOL.

I hope they move the TCU-Texas games in Austin to Friday. Sure would be easier for the fans.

Right. LSU-TAMU was the most watched college game that night, but more than seven times as many viewers watched 49ers-Seahawks on NBC, per http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2014/12/...ec-big-12/
