this phrase you use, "pass defense"... what does it mean?

I had seen this on youtube but would have preferred Franks 90 yd TD run to be our play.

Awesome to see our freshman QB to our freshman WR have two of the top plays. Even more awesome to consider the WR only played in the second half of the season.

Shane Meadors does know he didn't actually reach the end zone on that catch against South Alabama...right?

One was against ULM and the other was against stAte. The one against ULM was reviewed and placed at the 1, the one against stAte was a TD.

I don't understand putting the incomplete pass at the end of ULM instead of the hit the play before if it's "top plays"

Probably not to enlighten the fact that the officials missed a targeting foul on that play.

Realistically, it doesn't matter, but the idea was to get the final call of the final play of the season.

I just can't believe they didn't show Eli McGuire's run where he stopped on a dime on the sideline then scored?

It was textbook targeting. Probably wouldn't change the outcome of the game, and it was a very heady play by the GS defender because the alternative was a ULM victory, but it was targeting.

I don't have the clip handy but I'm pretty sure he laid his shoulder into the receiver's chest, and there's a HS Referee on our board who knows the rule books pretty well and said it wasn't targeting. However, since you're one of the friendliest posters towards us GS hooligans, and I don't like to get involved in a bunch of back and forth bs, I'll just agree to disagree.

We got away with one on that play. I still think we would have won the game, but Dobson should have been ejected. I don't think he was trying to head hunt or hurt the guy. I just think he was trying to hit him hard and knock the ball out. If I'm being completely unbiased the play looks pretty suspect at best. Maybe I'm wrong... The ref was standing right there and he probably understands the rule better than me (or he just missed it).
