His diploma was good enough to be a student, but apparently you need to be extraordinarily good in the classroom to put a ball through a hoop. I think that sums up the NCAA's incompetence.

Yeah his high school had some out of classroom work that the NCAA didn't accept, even though he had classmates smart enough to get into elite universities around the country.

I have no idea what caused the suspension so I can't say for sure, but I'm not aware of anything too negative about Strickland other than his frustrations with playing so little and having so much go against him. I hope things work out for him, just not surprised they didn't work out here. He has had a ton of bad luck.
