Holy ****, he weighs 184? 5-9, 184 isn't a bad build. Glad to hear he will be ready for spring ball.

I like the kid, it's just funny how people have elevated how good he is. And, I have always said the ball team needed a healthy Highsmith to win the MAC. Maybe next year he will beat out Tommy lee Lewis and become a star.

Huskiepride12, NIU has played 5 basketball games. They've beat 3 bad teams and lost to 2 teams that are better than any MAC team. NIU still has a chance to win the MAC.

He will be back better than ever. Our program"s rise to the top has been fueled by our ability to recruit nationally. So it is great to see local kids making such a huge impact on our success. He seems like a quality kid.

RE: Aurora Beacon Article on Beebe
Star or not, Beebe is the kind of kid you have to root for and that makes the team and the program better.

Beebe is a chip off the old block. dedicated to his craft, a football gym rat. Knows what it takes to get better and from second hand knowledge is just a good kid. Put him in workouts and in life situations around a bunch of wildly talented kids who don't have necessarily the same outlook, work ethic and focus. That's huge. They see this little 5'9" guy that they may be able to edge out in the 40, beating them to the point and making plays for the ball b/c the fundamentals, the route running, the ball skills, the game IQ are all on point...that makes guys think.

You see it in his HS teammates...Mayes, ACRB and Maddie. They are all talented enough but not necessarily freakish...you can tell they just have a great work ethic and feel for the game.

Having his dad so involved and around the program is Absolutley huge too. His network is vast and his impact is great.

You take into consideration how well he fielded and returned punts this year, he's had a heck of a year as a sophomore. There were some tough catches I expected him to make this year, but I really believe that will come next year. NaPalm wasn't as reliable as Beebe his frosh, and soph years and had great junior/senior years. I expect Beebe to be Fleck the next two years with a little more wiggle.

Punt returner, 20+ catches...I'd argue he already is a really good player.

I'd agree. Bob Cole said Beebe is the best route-runner he's seen EVER. That says a lot. Beebe does have star potential.

There's no doubt in my mind Beebe is gonna be a great WR, ala Fleck. And, probably an even better PR. I think the biggest issue for him will be avoiding injury.

No one in this thread mentioned him being a star. There's absolutely no good reason to make this post. Hope it made you feel good though.

A mighty bad break when it takes a plate & 13 screws to put it back together.

I'm sure he is very bummed to be missing the bowl game. Glad he'll be there tho & glad he's recovering.

Beebe will be a Huskie we talk about for many years to come, like PJ, without the dancing.
