School Stirs Controversy With “Genderbread,” Sex Checklists

Lafayette, CA--A school program that offers a transgender twist on a holiday tradition and tells young teens they might be "ready for sex" has some parents in the Bay Area alarmed and taking action.

Parents of freshmen at Acalanes High School in Lafayette started asking questions after students began reporting disturbing behavior in a sex ed class at the school. Students reported that instructors threw a model of female reproductive organs at a student and that the instruction left them feeling pressured to have sex. The parents eventually obtained documents from the school district that confirmed their fears and indicate that some of the instruction may have been illegal.
Among other things, the district admitted that the class is not taught by AHS teachers but instead by staff from a local Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider. The district further disclosed that the class used a diagram called the "Genderbread Person" to teach students that they could be "agender," "bigender," "third gender," "two spirit," and "gender queer." The district also disclosed documents including a checklist given to students entitled, "Sex Check! Are You Ready For Sex?" The checklist suggest to the 13 and 14-year-old that they are ready for sex if they won’t feel bad about it and know how to tell their partner what feels good. The young teens were also encouraged to ask each other questions like, "Is it okay if I take my pants off?"

Pacific Justice Institute has begun working with the parents in Lafayette. PJI sent a letter to the district on Nov. 24 raising “serious concerns” as to the legality of the program and included requests for public records. The district briefly responded Dec. 4 to insist that it needed an additional two weeks to locate the records.

Meanwhile, parents have collected more than 100 signatures on a petition and are working to educate the school community about what is happening behind closed doors at AHS. To date, the district and AHS principal have resisted calls to pull the program, which is scheduled to start back up in January. A number of parents are expected to speak out about the program at a Dec. 10 school board meeting.

Brad Dacus, the president of Pacific Justice Institute, commented, "What is happening in Lafayette should be a wake-up call to parents about what Planned Parenthood and some school districts want to teach our kids. I would challenge anyone to read some of these materials and try to defend their use with 13 and 14 year olds. We firmly believe some of this program is illegal, and the district has a lot more explaining to do."

I know that not everyone here gives a sh*t about the Bible. But for those that do, some verses give ample warning of what will happen to the people who teach this kind of stuff to kids. Cf. Matthew 18:6, Mark 9:42, Luke 17:2

For people who were paying attention, the real "wake-up calls" were 20, 30, 40 years ago, and some even earlier than that. Quite frankly, it is too late now (too late for this generation, at least). Any parents in Lafayette who are upset about this would be well-advised to get their kids out of the public schools ASAP, because this is not the limit -- not even close to it -- of progressive weirdness at the altars of "tolerance" and "inclusion". Just leaving California altogether should be carefully considered, as well, although I realize that is not a realistic option for everyone.

You'd be surprised what some people will try to defend.

If we can rebuild this economy and give these kids something to look forward to and work toward, a lot of these problems will take care of themselves IMO.

I am skeptical that rebuilding the economy would alleviate the kind of problems posed by the story in the OP. But for the sake of argument, let's say that it would. That still leaves the little detail of… actually rebuilding the economy. Not much sign of that happening anytime soon.

Agree. My underlying point though is that traditional courtship of women by men has been tossed aside in favor of porn and sexual deviancy. Men have "checked out", so to say. This has been discussed in other threads. All I am saying is that perhaps with an economy that allows for more people to take the traditional route, people will make better choices. Our girls need to be raised better as well. They no longer respect themselves and mate with dirtballs that have no ability or intention of supporting them. Growing up, we certainly had sluts that slept around, but it wasn't the socially acceptable practice and I get the feeling this has become the norm, especially as the percentage of dirtballs continues to grow. Boys and men are driven by sex. If girls and women were raised to reject the dirt balls, they would shrink in number. Instead, they have been taught "don't judge". The OP is a symptom of this underlying cultural problem.

I'm afraid you are waiting for a train that's not going to come. As long as women have the ability to make their own money, the tradition impetus for marrying a traditional man is gone. Thus, many women are free the indulge their sexual curiosity, regardless of the potential consequences. Women gravitate toward Billy Badass because he turns them on, something your average beta guy can't do.

I agree that the average beta guy isn't going to do anything to attract them. Today they are just identifying as gay. My question is: when and why did the alpha guys become dirtballs? In older times, if you knocked someone up, you at least stuck around. Women, especially younger women were attracted to Billy Badass, but Billy Badass wasn't the dirtball he is today. It seems these days being a deadbeat is a badge of honor.

I don't have a problem with sex ed in schools, but have it deal with intercourse and procreation, not intersex androgyny genderqueer-ity

The same reason anyone does anything, because they can. Take a look at all of the false rape accusations that have been recently filed. They aren't changing the hot sexy alpha. Because sex with him, even if its in a bathroom stall or an orgy, gives these ladies the sexual tingles they are chasing. Billy Badass is a dirtbag because a lot of women are responding positively to that persona. The whole be nice and kind only comes into play once a woman is done playing the field and is looking to settle down.

So long as you're not trying to turn Billy Badass into a Husband, nothing. But therein lies the problem, many women are deluded into thinking that having sex with these types of guys will somehow lock them down. For some reason these girls don't realize that guys who have to beat back strange with a bat, have zero motivation to enter into an exclusive relationship.
