This is a real turning point for the Pitt program. If Chryst leaves, we're going to be in serious turmoil. If he stays, he may never leave on his own.

Agree 100%.

Personally I don't think Chryst is going anywhere, but I don't blame the fans for being paranoid.

We just can't afford to lose another coach and recruiting class. It would cripple us big time.

I don't think Chryst is going anywhere either. However, if he does go anywhere I don't see it as a program killer either. Any school in a P5 conference is one splash hire away from being really good real quick. Cincy with Brian Kelly, and Ole Miss these past 2-3 seasons.

Unfortunately, we just may have another coaching search on our hands.

This is terrible. And we don't have a new AD to conduct the search.

I know that Chryst leaving is not Pederson's doing and he's not at fault but his track record in selecting football coaches is absolutely atrocious. I want him nowhere near the search process.

Wisconsin needs to wait until 17 December, if I remember correctly. When is the dead period for recruting? From 15 Dec - 15 Jan? That would put Pitt and the new coach in a bind.

Also, I wonder what the budget will look like. I hope it's at least over $2 million/year. Chad Morris (Clemson OC) got $3 million/year to goto SMU.

I don't want Joe Rudolph and would prefer Narduzzi or Doc Holiday.....

Latest rumor is that Barry Alvarez is going to resign as UWs AD and take over as Pitt's AD. That was the reason for the meeting between Chryst and Gallager. Chryst will get an extension and more money and stay.....this is all because of Dellovade and Alvarez's friendship and BA wanted one last challenge.....

j/k of course......

We should hear lots of news leak out tommorrow night since UW can hire Wednesday.

I really hope that the Pitt admin has already identied candidates and already sent out inqyires via back channels. Lets see.....

I'd like to say that I have confidence that they have been working on who is going to replace Chryst if he indeed told Gallagher he's leaving but I don't.

Pederson's worst quality might be hiring football coaches which says a lot.
