This makes sense if he knew Gordon was leaving for the draft and evaluated his team and realized they wouldn't win next year. Time to reset the clock at another P5 school under your own terms.

It would be funny if Wisconsin hires Bo Pellini. I know the rumor is Pellini is going to Youngstown State, but things are not final yet.

What would really be funny is if Pellini took the Youngstown State job and outgoing coach Eric Wolford was named Wisconsin head coach. Never happen, but it completes the circle nicely. He had wins over #1 North Dakota State in 2011 and over Pitt at Heinz Field in 2012 so he's not bad.
