This Saturday the Owls take the short trip up the Turnpike to play the Knights in Orlando. Being done with finals by then (if they don't kill me in the process) and living in Tampa, I plan to sit on I4 for a few hours in traffic to head over to UCF's campus for the game. I'm here to humbly ask if any of you are interested in taking a photo with some of us FAU fans holding a sign that says #FreeUAB or something of the sort.
We've held a little protest here a few years ago where a sign tapped to a statue of our mascot was spread throughout social media. FGCU students created #FreeUAB banners for a basketball game last week, which was showcased throughout the nationally televised game. Any little bit could help rectify the situation in Birmingham. Even UAB doesn't get their football team back, let it be known that their former conference mates are thinking about them. Trust me when I say, they appreciate the support.

I don't believe i'll be at the game but there are several UCF-centric statues near the arena that would be a good choice to take pictures by. One is hard to miss, right across the street from the arena:



The other is a bit of a walk but a better pic, on the path to the stadium (which isn't hard to miss either, so the statue should be easy to find):
