We are very deep at WR. We are very young on Defense this season. It really could be a special season for us in 2015.

Lets finish this season off right and beat Central Michigan in the Bahamas Bowl.

After watching him against Marshall I think he has NFL potential with another year to show 2014 wasn't a fluke. He was dropping dimes all day. Congrats to him and WKU.

On that specific day he was top 3-5 best QBs I have ever seen in person. He was legit.

Is this kid in grad school now or on the longest undergrad track in history?

I don't think there is any doubt. And as much as it hurts me to say this...

The performance he put on in Sept is one of the single best QB performances I have seen from a pocket passer since I watched Brian Lindgren nearly lead Idaho back from a 42-10 halftime deficit (70-58 final) in 2001 when he went for about 6-Fifty on on 70 some odd pass attempts, and I swear it seemed like he only had about a dozen incompletions.

Doughty's probably the best pro-style QB that I have ever seen play at Floyd Stadium and that includes a few MT guys that have played QB in the league.

Why he chose Western though is complete mystery though I hear the Corvette mob threatened his family.

That means WKU is the favorite next year. MT looks to be tough as well. La Tech has a bunch back I think to.

I'm not a quarterback guru but I would think the biggest thing to hold him back from an NFL roster spot would be pure arm strength. He has the other skills for sure.

He can make all the the throws. I saw it first hand. He had 66 opportunities to display that ability. Arm strength is not an issue.

QB is a big question for us next year. If we don't find another Sokol we could be starting a RS FS. Other than that as long as Dixon comes back I feel pretty good about our team next year.

Looks like another season of Doughty Time for WKU. Whoever ends up under center for us is going to have a hell of time keeping up with him when we play you guys.

He chose WKU over FAU with a west coast offense under our previous coaching staff, haha....Sorry FAU.....I think the system for him besides first half of last season really helps as well as the maturity of our WRs this season...He should be thrilled we had Petrino than Brohm for him to flourish in the system.....Also Doughty worked out with a QB coach guru in off season and you can tell that really helped him....If Doughty can run just a little and works as hard as he did this past off season, the sky is the limit.....Not sure about NFL, but definitely think he can play in the CFL...

Pennington didn't have a big arm either. The NFL is far more an accuracy thing and he has it. He threw two out and ups on us that were beautiful, couldn't be thrown any better.

You guys remind me a heck of a lot of our 2012 team, a ton of offense and no defense. You get the D turned around and you'll win double digit games next year.

Good I hope he gets blasted by our D after the throat slashing and telling us to "shhhh". If our qb situation is just ok next year I am not afraid at all. We will still win the East and probably the conference with what we have returning.

not defending it but the story is brandon's postgame actions were in response to the marshall dee saying he'd do nothing against them. nothing. just like all previous quarterbacks had done zero against them all year. it was in an article in your newspaper.

and then he actually did a little better than most of the previous quarterbacks had done. perhaps it caused his spirited reaction. he is a florida kid. they sometimes act that way.
