AAC First Team / Second Team awards are out
Here's what I have from the UCF release.

Carden was Offensive POY. Glenn was Defensive Co-POY along with the Memphis LB.

UCF had 5 guys on first team, 4 on 2nd team.

Jacoby Glenn - CB - So. - Prichard, Ala. - 45 Tackles, 1.0 TFL, 7 INT, 11 BRUP, 1 FF
Breshad Perriman - WR - Jr. - Lithonia, Ga. - 41 REC, 906 YDS, 22.1 AVG, 9 TD
Terrance Plummer - LB - Sr. - Orange Park, Fla. - 92 Tackles, 12.5 TFL, 3.5 SACK, 1 INT, 6 BRUP, 2 FF
William Stanback - RB - So. - Hempstead, N.Y. - 177 ATT, 659 YDS, 10 TD, 11 REC, 55 YDS, 2 TD

Second Team
Brandon Alexander - FS - Sr. - Orlando, Fla. - 70 Tackles, 2.0 TFL, 3 INT, 7 BRUP, 2 FF
Jaryl Mamea - DL - Sr. - Fagasa, American Samoa - 32 Tackles, 9.5 TFL, 6.5 SACK, 1 BRUP, 10 QBH, 1 BLK
Thomas Niles - DL - Jr. - Gainesville, Ga. - 44 Tackles, 11.0 TFL, 6.5 SACK, 1 BRUP, 11 QBH, 1 BLK

Will Stanback first team? That was unexpected.

Perriman shouldn't have gotten 1st team. Keevan Lucas had 101 catches, 1219 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Lol yeah what's with that? Not that i'm complaining, but Stanback hasn't seemed like a AAC first team RB this year. Probably 2nd team

I think the Perriman selection was perfect. He consistently made the deep ball when it was thrown his way.

If UCF ran a pass first, no huddle offense i'm sure he'd have more stats to support it.

UC's 4 first team guys were very deserving. Lynch was good this year for Memphis, but would any team honestly rather face him over Kiel? I thought injuries prevented Kiel from making serious run at first team, but should have been second team.

UC spread everything too evenly among their wide receivers to get the recognition they probably deserved. So many guys on that team had great years, just a lot of weapons and Kiel did a good job picking out who to throw to.

Crazier when you consider that Stanback is on the list, but Worton is nowhere to be found...

Might have had to do with the massive amount of yards he was averaging. Can't forget about that clutch hail mary catch either

Sorry Mark, don't agree. No way is Luc 1st team instead of Temple, Temple didn't even make 2nd team, which is BS.

Luc was the best player on the UC defense all year. He made tackles all over the place and seemed to force a fumble every game.

Temple had a really slow start to the year. He finished well, but still thought Luc was the key cog on the defense.

How the Hell is Stanback 1st team?

Terrance Plummer should be Co-Defensive Player of the Year IMO. Dude is a beast.

Stanback likely got in becuase while he missed alot of games, he played in most AAC games and racked up most of his stats/TDs in AAC play.

7 of his 10 TDs were in AAC play.

So his stats are probably better for AAC games vs some other guys who had alot of their yards/TDs in OOC play, which maybe didn't get assessed.

Yeah, Stanback shouldn't be first team.

Maybe have Memphis running back there on 1st Team instead?

They played different kinds of games. Lucas was a threat all over the field. Perriman was a deep threat. 22 yards a catch is great. But he had less than half as many catches.
