UM fans scoffed in disgust, as they lost in a defensive low-scoring battle not even reaching the 50s, after being out-rebounded, and in the end, out scored by Eastern Michigan tonight. Brady Hoke must have taken over for basketball since he was fired from his magical football team.

Michigan is not as good this year (as in recent years) and EMU basketball is horrible to watch. I shall root against them forever.

This would be much more impressive had NJIT(who?) not just beaten Michigan last weekend....but always good to beat the B1G

Oddly enough, you would expect UM to play 100%, on-point after that loss. EMU wisely even said they expected UM to come at them real hard after that, and it'd be a tougher game than if UM beat NJIT. However, yes, from observers from the outside looking in, it doesn't look as impressive, which kinda sucks and only indicates UM has taken a surprising hit this year after starting out ranked. Funny thing is, NJIT had one of their best players NOT playing against UM. I guess they were hot-shooting. Neither team was in this one -- EMU just grunted it out against UM on UM's home floor...

The AA media with their noses in the air -- however, Ypsi is right next door being a "suburb" of AA -- so I imagine they feel pressure to be kind/respectful toward the EMoos a bit.

They are still an FCS program though, still want them to drop down if we are stuck in the MAC for a while.
