Gee, I wonder if UMass would be willing to replace UConn if they left the AAC...?

How about CUSA keeps UAB and invites Uconn football only with uconn than joining the big east. Even better would be the big east also adding umass and temple with both of them joining cusa football only.

Big east:

E- Gtown, Prov, St johns, shall, nova, umass, uconn, temple
W- Depaul, Mar, SLU, Creighton, butler, xaiver, dayton, VCU

I just really think if Memphis and Cincy go to the Big 12- that really changes the equation. AAC would then have besides UConn really Temple and then that's it in basketball. Think at that point- the basketball powers at UConn would really start to howl and start really making a stink.

That would actually work if CUSA would go for it

He spends every waking moment trolling UConn. Something must have happened to scar him psychologically. Maybe his student application was denied. Or maybe UConn beat his favorite team too many times.

What a jerk.

It's not "anti-UConn". There are plenty of UConn fans who miss Big East basketball, just as those of us in the Big East miss UConn.

But without football, the Big East just isn't the best place for UConn. There isn't nearly as much difference between AAC football and MAC football as AAC fans think, but there is still a difference.

Except the Big East isn't the Big East anymore. UConn fans miss Creighton, Butler, Xavier, DePaul and Seton Hall?

If Memphis and Cincinnati do part with the AAC, I would think that most member institutions would give UConn a great deal of say as far as who replaces them.

If they replace Memphis and Cincinnati with football-first schools who consider basketball to be an afterthought, then I could see UConn hitting the road.

Media market aside, I cant believe the acc in its right mind wouldn't jump on them. Just on the womens side. you put UConn in with the newer schools, nd and Louisville. Then you already have top level womens programs unc and duke, you create the only womens league in the country that networks would pay good $$$ to get.
