CFN Love?
Hard to believe but CFN gave us some love....

Northern Illinois
New personnel. Same old results in DeKalb. In what would have been a rebuilding year for most schools, the Huskies captured their third MAC title in the last four years, hammering Bowling Green in Detroit, 51-17. The year after losing do-everything QB Jordan Lynch to graduation, Northern Illinois is 11-2, having gone almost two months without dropping a game.

RE: CFN Love?
That's love? Well not so fast my friend, you really cannot make this stuff up
CFN Bowl Rankings
20. Boca Raton Bowl, Dec. 23
Marshall vs. Northern Illinois
It’s a nice coup for the Boca Raton Bowl in its first year to get two Group of Five superpower champions. There but for the grace of a Boise State loss, either one of these two could’ve ended up in one of the New Year’s Six games. Rakeem Cato and the Herd offense should perk up after a struggle in the C-USA title game, and while NIU has the pop, it’s just an okay team – it’s not last year’s version.
10. Popeyes Bahamas Bowl, Dec. 24
Central Michigan vs. WKU
If you’re going to watch one bowl game before December 31st between two teams you’ve never seen before, this is it. WKU is always worth the price of admission, and Central Michigan has the firepower to keep up. All you want out of early bowl games is a lot of points and a lot of fun – these two will provide it.
