Obama tells BET racism 'deeply rooted' in American society


He's right about one thing, racism is definitely deeply rooted as he, Holder, Sharpton, Jackson, and 80% of the protesters have clearly demonstrated over the past year. He should be ashamed of himself.

Of course racism is deeply rooted in American society, its been deeply rooted in all societies throughout history of civilization, why would we be any different? It's interesting the media likes to emphasize the setbacks instead of emphasizing exactly how far we, as a society, have come in the last 150 years with regard to race relations. It's pretty remarkable how far we've come if you think about it.

Absolutely. Hell, even compared to 1960 we're night and day. They don't talk about that either. A lot of the black old timers that were around to experience times back then will tell you how much better it is now though.
