Matt Zemek Article

It’s certainly one of the 10 best bowl matchups on the board, which means it’s one of the four best non-New Year’s Six games on the bowl docket. No, that’s not a fact — it’s simply a strongly-held opinion — but there’s a very simple reason why this game deserves a great deal of attention.
When 11 wins is not a ceiling but a floor, and it’s sustained across multiple quarterbacks and coaching staffs, it’s clear that a program has attained a level of entrenched superiority, lifting it a cut above the competition in its corner of the country.

RE: Matt Zemek Article
That's why I don't understand why MAC fans are like, you guys don't think you've actually built a sustainable program do you?
5 straight 11+ win seasons with 3 different head coaches and 3 different QBs, but even beyond that NIU has had, count em, 1 losing season since the turn of the millennium. They've played in a post season game in 10 of the last 11 years. If that's not sustained, what is?
EDIT: I guess technically two losing seasons. Finished 6-7 with the Independence Bowl loss.

That is an impressive compliment to a program that does it the hard way.

Next year I would like the Huskies to do it the Easy Way! Do we get to vote on this?

Ha-That's not really a motto that will motivate a program. But I would appreciate a few more blowout wins.

Nice article that really highlights the sustained quality of the NIU program. I am really looking forward to the game tonight and I wish I was in Vegas to take the points since I think the Huskies win outright!

But that's ok... the committee has shown only playing good teams is enough, no need to beat them lol.

So, NIU needs some oil funded, rich Texas A&M boosters to buy a few cars for the players? Sweet!
