Love the enthusiasm for UCONN being a power broker and all but I guarantee if the invite was in their hands they would be gone. Huge pay raise going to the B12. Teams are making about $22-25 million this year versus the American payout which I suspect will be around $4-6 million. That's a BIG raise people!

Unless Aresco has an Ace up his sleeve and the American is about to get a big media $$$$$ increase, I can't see UCONN staying just to be the self proclaimed Mack Daddy of the American.

No offense to UCONN as they are a fine university but it is what it is.

I can guarantee ECU would be gone under the same circumstances. ECU has much more in common with WVU than UCONN anyway.

Just heard a bit of news that is going to take this in a whole new level. ESPN is working behind the scenes to get UCONN a P5 invite. Looks like UCONN is leveraging their strong relationship with the network to punch their ticket.

Actually, miko, the big 10 is offering UCONN an ACC/Norte dame type deal where UCONN places all Olympic sports in big 10, plays football as independent, had access to all Big 10 bowls including Rose bowl. UCONN is mulling offer however the AAC exit fees $ are too much to let go for them to make the move.

You're scenario is unrealistic - no offense. No one can believe that. However, it is true that the BB credit and BE exit fees put the kibosh on UCONN accepting a Big12 invite. That is a known fact.
