A very prominent Uconn advocate intimated at a private gathering that Uconn's efforts are about to bear fruit...

For once, miko's sources are correct! The something he mentions is Taylor Swift. She's at UCONN recording her new album, and she sure is p*ssed! It turns out someone broke her heart and that someone.......was ME!!!!!!!!!

ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!

You're welcome world!!! 04-rock

Have you ever known me to rile people up before? I think I've been a good contributor to the board.

Having passed much of the ACC and B1G in academics (apparently for naught), UConn has decided to go all-in for sports. Immediately, UConn will begin diverting all resources to its football program.

Maybe someday we can be Florida State.

You should stick to the academics and one day buy Florida State as your Fall vacation proxy football satellite campus. You'll be happier.

Someone might try that some day. American and Middle Eastern billionaires already buy European fĂștbol teams as expensive play toys, and then spend over $100 million/year on the team, so why not buy a US college for its football program?

Buying a large public school might be too much hassle, though. A relatively small private school is the way to go. If I were one of those guys and I got bored after buying Manchester City or AC Roma, my first CFB acquisition target would be Miami. Or buy Duke for the basketball and pour a few hundred million into football as a fixer-upper. Or you could buy TCU and make this a real-life Dan Jenkins novel.
