What happens (BXII)...?
When the Texas 4 leave for the PAC-12, to make the PAC-16? I think it would be only a matter of time before they leave if they are forced to dig into the depths of the G5 to replenish their ranks.

Texahoma 4 - Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State

Left Behind 8 - Iowa State, K State, Kansas, TCU, West Virginia, Baylor, [EXP1], [EXP2]

Texas has said that if they leave, they're heading to the East and not West so their probably not going to go to the Pac even though they've talked about it and to them before. I could see them and Oklahoma both agreeing and pitching themselves to the B1G though.

Problem is Texas couldn't be the big dog in any other conference, I just don't think the egos in Austin could handle that. Therefore Texas stays where they're at.

It's either be the Big Dog in what is clearly the lesser conference...or put yourself in a position to compete again.

Texas IMO isn't going anywhere...now "If the current set up with the Big XII" is hurting their situation to compete in recruiting and access to the CFP they will fix that situation in house...07-coffee3

If I'm a coach recruiting against the Big 12 and ND my job just became ALOT easier. How many committed kids switch right now is any ones guess but you can sure bet it will impact next years class.

Not that many in the Pac 12 want expansion. Especially that far east.

If I am Alabama, Arkansas, LSU and especially Texas A&M that is just another pitch I would use with a Texas HS Recruit that is looking at Texas, Baylor or TCU...05-nono

Tex is rebuilding, They can compete wherever they are. If Tex was 11-1 playing exactly the same as TCU did, they likely would be preparing to play ALA right now. Last season was new coaches first year, They will be fine.

Don't think so...two Powerhouse Programs and it the Longhorns played the exact same schedule as TCU...Ohio State still had the advantage of schedule and one more win...it is still 12-1 > 11-1...07-coffee3
