Priority Point Cut Off for Tickets
The Duke Club priority point cut off for tickets was 110 points according to the ticket office:

https://twitter.com/JMUTickets/status/94...4977670144

I just missed out as I have 100.6. I've been a season ticket holder for 10 years and have been donating above the minimum but it just wasn't enough. If the priority point calculator is accurate, I could have donated $125 more and been above 110 points. Hindsight is 20/20 as there was no way for me to know that.

If anyone has 2 extra they are willing to sell, I will gladly donate that extra $125 to the Duke Club.

RE: Priority Point Cut Off for Tickets
That full tweet is pretty informative:

"The priority point cut off was 110 points. The allotment did include the end zone sections (both teams received end zone seats). Look for the NCAA to potentially release some SRO tickets closer to game day. Also take advantage of their Ticket Exchange."

This matches much of what was speculated. Based on the August sale (when there were many *more* tickets and less demand, those SRO tickets are going to sell out in less than a minute. It will be a web lottery of sorts.

What was 110? Around 1300 in Duke Club rank?

I'm 1,302 now according to the JMU site (looks like they just added what your Duke Club ranking is to the site within the past few days). I was 1,276 when I emailed them over the weekend

I think I was 1217 when I spoke to a DC rep earlier today. And I wound up missing the cut. Lots of money made it into the Duke Club today

Heard that donations went up in the high 5 figures over the past few days.

Another reason HCMH will be worth every penny of his new contract.

Part of Scotty Montgomery's contract at ECU is pay through the booster club to sell season tickets and to host a TV show.

I dropped from 922 to 934. So it seems like the further back you were, the more the last min donations effected you.

Makes sense if you consider folks out there that had only given the required $50 to be in the DC. They jump that another $100 this past weeked to get eligible and it is an additional 10 points. That is a material number if 110 points was the cutoff.

RE: Priority Point Cut Off for Tickets
It sucks for those that didn’t get tickets, but this is a good problem to have.

This is simply a function of circumstances. Two large engaged fan bases in a smaller venue.

We have long time season ticket holders and donors missing out. That means we have a large group of people invested in this program. And that’s a good thing. It’s what is making it what it is today and why it’s still growing.

If everyone got tickets under our allotment, well, then we’d be just like Youngstown or wofford or Sam Houston or Illinois state. All those schools who have good programs but not near the support us and ndsu have and would say a lot if we only had 5,300 people wanting to go.

Odd that I'm about 300 rank spots further back than what the lady told me over the phone this past summer. Nothing changed for me.

I think there were a lot of donations as the season went on due to our success, plus a huge push ahead of the 'ship ticketing. I was 15 spots lower than where I was at the beginning of the playoffs, and I even donated extra this week.

I love that there is so much interest. I hope it helps convince others to donate and/or donate more.

Yeah I just figured a lot of the "last minute" donations would've been the bare minimum $150 and likely people who haven't had consecutive years of giving and consecutive season tickets. That should still put me ahead of them. I'm not that close to the cut off anyways, so it's a moot point. I just thought it was interesting.

I also figure if someone's willing to drop $150 on a DC donation last minute, why are they balking at the current market prices? There's not that much of a difference. I'm glad it went to the DC instead.

I think the people dropping the money this week is that they figure it is worth it to get the tickets in the JMU section and if you are going to donate might as well do it to the Duke Club as opposed to a scalper. Makes sense to me.

Yep, I bet you will actually see a ranking increase once new year starts as the current year donations are weighed heavily right now (.08) but will have a lower impact next year (.02 multiple). Lots of late season and 'ship ticketing donations from non-recurring/lower dollar/non-season ticket holders skewing the rankings.
