You sure have been making a lot of threads lately.

He's already said he'd rather take a coordinator job at an FBS school than a head coach job at FCS or lower

He's about rubbed that worst case scenario crystal ball down to a nub

I'd believe DC at Auburn before I'd believe Samford, and I don't really believe DC at Auburn.

If so Samford needs to change their slogan.

Samford: a safe haven for coaches screwed over by UAB.

Vanderbilt needs a new DC and OC... It would hurt a lot less if he went their personally for me as Vanderbilt is my 2nd alma mater behind UAB

If I had to guess, I suspect a certain coach is waiting a few weeks to see what might transpire.

I will love to see him at Samford

If he winds up at a "cartel" (sec) school, I'd rather it be Vanderbilt, I kind of liked them with Franklin was there, he really gave that program a charge.

I've already talked to the nice folks over at Samford about season tickets for next season. If they hire Coach Clark then look for an invasion of former Green and Gold money and fan support. One of my daughters is now talking Samford after dropping UAB from consideration after the football fiasco.

Samford like it or not has now become the face of football for the Birmingham area.

Season Tickets by the way are $100 and GA tickets are $15 a game.

I compare us to Vanderbilt all the time. We are very similar in many regards in terms of academics, research, and medicine. I would not hate Auburn because I want him to destroy UAT. Samford is not bad and I plan on supporting him wherever he goes. I prefer him hanging out until we get some answers though like blazer man suggests...

One, Clark can afford to wait and be a bit picky. He just got paid the next two years of his contract. Two, he still needs a couple of years at an Alabama public school to get his pension set, and since that is figured off of his last four years salary he really needs a job that fits. Samford is private and does not fit that mold.

Depending on where he goes, he may be able to take his time in TRS with him. In some circumstances Alabama will let you bring your time from other states' public pension systems into TRS.

He should get credit for those last two years because of the screw job he just got. He's getting paid for them, so he ought to get credit too. He wasn't leaving UAB for any reason anytime in the near future.
