If you live in Greater Cincy
And have not visited Nippert lately, you need to. If we all thought that Nip was situated
in a low bowl conducive to getting loud when packed......it is going to be much worse for intimidating opponents. The pics and videos are nice but they don't do justice for the scope of the project.

RE: If you live in Greater Cincy
I've been debating taking a drive down there to walk around the campus. I may wait for 1 of those nice spring days that usually come in February and do that.

I was down there with my sister before the game on Saturday. I drove up to the South end and we got out and took pictures. You really can't appreciate the scale unless you are standing there. I remember dropping a "Holy sh*t". I told her that it reminded me of the Roman Colosseum. It is going to be loud as hell. The only place for the sound to go is up...

Lucky enough to see the progress on a weekly basis with the basketball season starting. It's a pretty intimidating structure to say the least with how it is situated with the rest of campus and that's just with the bones in place. With the addition of the boxes, along with Dieterle, Lindner and Campus Rec I would say about 3/4 of Nippert is now built up and surrounded. Sooo excited to hear the noise.

Yeah, same here. The west side is massive. There is no doubt that Nippert can be the loudest college stadium in the Country, period.

Agree with the two captioned posts. Photos do not do it justice. I don't work far from campus so I make a trek there once every week or two.

The renovated Nippert, Gunner Kiel, and the right marketing will bring a surge in ticket sales.

An invite to a power conference, and the place will be full every game.

I'll be at a few games (always do), but I'm not going to go for a long walk around the campus with my kids in tow when it is cold.

RE: If you live in Greater Cincy
Saw the stadium up close when I visited with my family during the Toledo game week back in September. I thought it was awesome then but more from the excitement of what the results would be upon completion. Can't imagine what it looks like up close now. I hope the new Nip creates a sonic cacophony that makes Boeing jet engines tame. I'm telling ya, I feel bad for the opening home opponent next year. Looking forward to the momentum and national recognition UC can build on from a conference championship and another 9 win season together with a rockin' and renovated stadium. Lots to be excited and optimistic about.

I have no confidence in the Cincinnati fans filling Nippert for Alabama State.

There will be large number of excuses and about 28,000 butts in the seats.

I think you are really really off here....

Unless it's a monsoon or an untimely blizzard the the Nip will be sold out for the opener no matter who it's against

I can't wait for UC baseball, so I can take a trek down there and see Nippert. It should be coming a long way by then.

Casey Jones high. I believe the opener sells out even if UC plays the Little Sisters of the Poor State College. I cold be wrong, and I've been wrong before, but this is the home opener in the new and improved Nip. I'm sure UC promotes/markets the schit out of this because they want nothing more than a packed stadium in the new digs.

The game will sell out regardless of opponent. The opening of the stadium is the type of event that people in Cincinnati will show up for.

It's truly massive. The field is completely engulfed by stands and buildings. It's going to be one hell of a home field advantage.

Nice weather and the "event" of the new stadium. It will sell out.
