BOISESTATE AND BYU TO BIG12
Natti will always play second fiddle to Bengals and Ohiostate. The big12 needs strong programs that make the conference better. Boise and Byu are not in larger markets where they're irrelevant but rather control their markets and are national brands. If the Big12 wants to make a statement that they are serious about winning natl titles these two programs are a must.....not Memphis or Coloradost04-cheers

RE: BOISESTATE AND BYU TO BIG12
Two questions.

1) Do you ever make a post that doesn't involve shamelessly plugging BOISESTATE!!!!

and 2) Why does every two word university become one word with your posts. I'm baffled by this for some reason. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!?

Wow! Really!

Sorry but BSU doesn't cut it on the academic side even for the Big 12. Yes, they still play a role.
Sure they maybe talked about, but there isn't any really serious discussion for BSU.
I would like BSU to be considered but it's not happening.....and may not even happen for BYU.

I get it and agree on BYU. But boy he has to get in line with Cincinnati, Memphis, UCF and others. Who's going to be the tallest midget?

Boise's location, TV market and academics are going to be negatives.

I hope you are correct. That could save the AAC from demise. It also would probably spur another look at at the AAC and MWC joining forces. Add Army for FB and get all 3 SA's in the mix.

But would the schools from the west be appealing to the AAC w/out the likes of Boise State and BYU?

Whatever happens, the MWC/AAC need to strongly consider a merger (which would result in some teams being dropped). These are the teams from each that I would use as a starting point, subject to poaching:

AAC
UCF;
Cinci;
UConn;
ECU;
Memphis;
Navy;
USF;
Temple

MWC
SDSU;
UNLV;
Fresno State;
Boise;
Colorado State;
Air Force;
New Mexico

And then try to pull BYU in to the west. The odds are that two of those teams will get plucked, so there would be a six game RR and three cross-overs.

A new conference would need to be formed in order to drop Tulsa & Tulame.

That is what I am proposing...the teams of the the MWC/AAC get together to form a new conference. There is nothing magic about either of those conference brands.

RE: BOISESTATE AND BYU TO BIG12
I am giving this post the respect it deserves -

Why Boise State?
- academic powerhouse
- $1B endowment
- highly respected research university
- national leader in other sports
- top US TV market
- blue turf

NOT! 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

However given the boneheaded decisions from Bowlsby & co. - You're in! 04-cheers

Again, giving this post the respect it deserves.

Sheesh... Boise Community College students:

Learn how to spell: C-I-N-C-I-N-N-A-T-I.

There is no "Natti." Likewise, there is no "Cinnci."
"Cincy" or "Cinci" are acceptable.

I think it comes down to self preservation. The commissioners of the 2 leagues should NOW be talking with each other. Once the dominoes start falling?..you better be ready immediately with options.

RE: BOISESTATE AND BYU TO BIG12
its about football though, boise has a good history but colorado state or new mexico might make the president feel better if they go west to pair with byu. I could also see byu get a football only but that might mean bringing in cincy. The most likely move is Cincy and byu either full or football only.

A: Texas, Tex tech, TCU, Baylor, Cincy, WVU

B: OU, OSU, Ku, KSU, ISU, BYU

If only our identity crisis was centered around people's inability to spell "Charlotte". 03-banghead

Folks calling y'all EZU always bugged me. There are much more intelligent routes to talk trash than "hur hur looky there I just changed a letter and now they're easy!"
