LSU is very talented...but very young...that why I would want to play them this year and not next year but in the MCB they will Boatrace Notre Dame....in 2015 they will be a serious threat for the Title.

LSU would try to run it down Louisville throat...they could not do it against the 28th Rush Defense in Arkansas...Razorbacks 17 LSU Zero...I seriously doubt they could do it against Louisvile the Nation 3rd Ranked Rush Defense...05-nono

LSU didn't show up against Arkansas, they were devastated coming off blowing the game against Alabama. That was an extremely bitter defeat. And they ran effectively on Alabama, as they did on most other teams in the brutal SEC West, which suggests doing so against Louisville wouldn't be much of a problem.

Dayum son: how fast are you driving? LMAO. I'm not complaining. I enjoyed my last trip to Charlotte and will be going back. Due to the time of the game in Nashville, unless you planned to drive up and back, it more or less required a two night stay unless you were going to check in your hotel after the game due to the game being at 2:00 locally (meaning no time to check in). Assuming you weren't doing that, it was a two night stay in Nashville anyway, and since Nashville hotels (downtown) are a lot more expensive than Charlotte ones, even the cost is about the same when you account for the additional gas.

And obviously a better opponent, and a chance to finally play the game that was supposed to happen in 2011.

Lol...when I drive I do be rolling...As for UGa that wasn't lost on me....UGa backed out of a Home and Home as well...like the opportunity to take down a higher ranked SEC Opponent.

Let's not call it "backing out." They took a pay game against a top 5 opponent compared to a home an dhome vs. a team coming off a 6-6 season and a 4-8 season.

Plus they only let ESPN change the game if they paid UofL, AND found a suitable replacement opponent. And that opponent, when they visited PJCS in 2012, may have directly lead to the ACC invite.

Gout-(ouch)...lol....all true because playing UNC and having their President on Campus that year help UofL get into the ACC....

With the heavy concentration of Catholics in Louisiana, Notre Dame is easily second to LSU in popularity in the state. This is likely a great matchup for fans in Louisiana. That said, I preferred the days when Notre Dame would turn down bowl invitations if they weren't invited to a top bowl. To me it just added to the aura of the program and further set them apart as an elite program.

I live here. Most Catholics in Louisiana hate ND and would like to see the campus fall into a sinkhole.

I agree with you. I think that ND should have turned down a bowl bid this year.

So I assumed it was Notre Dame new host, same parasite shenanigans but you're saying it was LSU who didn't want to play Louisville?

If you think that lsu wanted to play ND because they were in any way afraid of louiseville then you are drunk on your on kool aid. I can think of about 50 reasons but fear doesn't make the list. Lol

I'd rather play LSU, if I was Louisville, than Georgia.

The "big name" opponent was what LSU was after. It wanted to play ND or Texas.

If ND was not available for the Music City Bowl, LSU would have gone ahead and played Texas in the Texas Bowl.

That is the word down here in Baton Rouge.

RT @MattMoscona was just told #LSU's bowl destination hasn't been finalized. Opponent in Nashville sticking point.
