I would have rather had a Bahamas Bowl. CMU now is going to that one.

BUT, we get stronger competition. However, on blue grass -- the "other Broncos" in Bronco territory. I think that's why we did it.

I believe cost was a factor, while it sounds cool most MAC teams were hoping for other bowls.

Yep, if I get a little disappointed that the team is heading somewhere cold (while Rawls gets to lay on a beach), I think about 1-11 and suddenly it doesn't seem so bad.

The upside: The opponent is a 'name' and the bowl itself has been around for years. It's on a Saturday. It's before Christmas (I know Go Daddy is the 'MAC Daddy' of bowls, but I hate that forgotten post-New Years slot, buried underneath all the national champion talk).

Maybe we can take a side trip to Moscow, ID, and revisit the locker rooms...

I like it. While the Bahamas Bowl would have been nice for the weather, the Potato Bowl is a more prestigious game (it's been around for a while).

The only thing I don't like is the matchup with Air Force, they're really tough.

WMU should insist that Air Force doesn't wear these unis on that smurf turf:

Not a fan of football in December in Boise. We kind of got shafted.

AF is a better opponent than most of our conference bowl bound teams will face, though. Will be a real challenge to beat them.

Any of you that are thinking of going, good luck finding an inexpensive flight into Boise..........

AF is one of the better teams to play, but would if liked a different location.

Well, it is going to be very difficult to get off the snide on the bowl win thing. Air Force was 9-3 and runs a very difficult offense to prepare for even when you have two weeks. Both teams are cold weather teams so no advantage there. They are respectable on defense and are 8th in the nation in rushing offense and throw the ball ok for an option team 14 tds to 3 picks for the starter who can run. Like that we are getting one of the best match ups as far as record but the location sucks. First day of bowl games at 5:45 is not a bad time slot.

Best competition by far, except for NIU playing Marshall. Just playing in a Cold, Blue Potato arena is just... akk.

This is a good bowl for WMU especially if we aspire to be the new BOISE this is a chance to strut our stuff and demonstrate that WMU belongs and is an up and comer! GO Broncos!!

If nothing else, this would be a heck of a win for our first bowl win in program history. Would be pretty awesome to beat Air Force on the smurf turf.

Go Daddy & Potato Bowl are only two MAC choices with guaranteed dollars.
