That was about the only team Louisville could have drawn for me to root for them after their inexplicable pro-UGAg hiring practices in the offseason.

The Big 12 needs to work something out with the Pac12. The ACC is just fine.

The ACC doesn't need to merge with anyone....if anything, they should offer Texas an all sports except football deal, and then poach Baylor and TCU

No merger, but I could seriously be talked into ditching the dead weight like the NC schools, UVA, Pitt, and Syracuse for a 7 team East and the Texas & Oklahoma schools plus Kansas St for a west division.

Then the little four, UVA, Pitt, and Syracuse can merge with Kansas and Iowa St. Add Memphis, Cincy, and UConn and they can play hoops till their hearts are content. They can even take in all of Notre Dame's worthless programs and the parasites can steal one of their bowls every year, although I doubt Notre Dame would be very thrilled choosingbetween bowls in exotic places like Detroit, Fort Wayne, and East Hartford every year.

Its really 3 separate 10 team conferences under one ACC ESPN owned umbrella. Each 10 team division does its own thing for all sports other than football…this would require some rule changes like each division hosting a hoop tourney in say NYC, KC and Greensboro. I don't see how anybody would have problems with their 10 team hoop lineup, play a traditional 18 format, h/a against everybody in your division. For football, a 28 team setup of 4 divisions of 7 works. The 4 divisional winners meet in a 2 game conference run playoff. IT would need some rule changes but it allows the 4 team playoff to stay as is with auto bids to the champs of the sec, big 10, pac 12 and the merged acc/big 12.

A = old ACC
B = old BE
C = old B12

That's not a merger, it's 3 separate conferences.
