So either the 12 minimum is waived. Or the big 12 Sunbelt etc. add to get to 12

And this would apply to any conference rated by the big 12 they will need to replace

Conferences championships are foolish. Conferences, themselves, are foolish.

Conferences are nothing but giant incubators for misplaced regional pride and overestimation of fellow conference teams. They fest the annoying habits of fans rooting for their rivals to win for the "good" of the conference. Only conferences can lead to fans chanting for their rivals.

The B12 commissioner pretty much said this because the committee “supposedly” valued the 13th game (CCGs). I'm glad the other P4 champs were rewarded for the risk of playing in a CCG....

Conferences exist to ensure home games for all members and easier scheduling

And they are not going away

Would Ohio St. still have been #4 if they had beaten Wisconsin 28-27 with their regular QB?

The big win and doing it with their 3rd string QB were big factors. Those weighed in more than the 13th game.

I heard what the chairperson said bullet... and "the 13th game" was mentioned as a big factor. However, I will admit that if UT or OU were #3, I think Ohio St is out despite the "big win and doing it with their 3rd string QB...."
