Would the Big 12 be in such a damn hurry to expand?
We need to hope it expands AFTER we get included in expansion....not before.

They have done their research on schools. If they expand they know who they want already the timing of it will not change that

The thing is tho....no one would be left out.
The odds of the Big 12 being left out of a 8 team football playoff every year are kind of slim.

Yep. If there was an 8 team playoff this year, both Baylor and TCU would have been included IMO.

Yep. If there was an 8 team playoff this year, both Baylor and TCU would have been included IMO.

Yes, but that would only apply yo this year, because while Baylor was scheduling the worst OOC games, most other teams beefed up their schedules to go for the top four. If there are 8slots, then teams may turn the wick down a bit, meaning there's more teams with a Baylor like record out there.

I don't remember for how long the agreement was to keep it at 4 teams, but I think it is for several years. After that, there will probably be too much pressure for it not to go to 8 teams.

Playoffs are not going to 8 teams for many years. Big 12 pretty much has to expand and while they may fight it and not like it, it's inevitable.
