Basketball looked better last night.....
... now on to Oklahoma State. We'll find out if we've really improved or if it was just the crappy opponent.

We don't necessarily have to win this game to say there's noticeable improvement but if it's another 15+ point loss then I'd have to say the ship is still sinking.

We shall see.

If we didn't look better against that pathetic team we are really in trouble.

I still saw some crappy guard play, but that is not unexpected in the 6th game with this group. I watched OK State the other day, and ended thinking we can take it if we're reasonably on our game. They weren't dominant like I expected. Of course, they have a dead eye shooter, Forte, who will probably light us up for 30+.

Was a good matchup for us. I loved that series of 3 dunks that included a Nick King posterizer followed by two fast breaks off steals. Still a long, long way to go.

Totally accurate but we did. So, on to the next and see what happens!

Plus there weren't near as many no shows as the previous games. Last night was a step in the right direction.

good post, and I agree. also, I will add I don't think Oklahoma St. is very good this year, don't know for sure, but this is what I'm hearing. Maybe they are wrong. Like you say, we shall see.

Last night they reminded me of U of M Tiger Basketball. They played well and seemed to be enjoying the game. Horrible opponent, but even with that it was much more enjoyable to watch.

If you're playing a bad team you should win by 28. We did. Thats all, no more and no less.

No one is talking about it here, but we might be pretty good on defense.

I see early signs of a strong defensive team.

We also got bailed out a few times when a mistake of ours was trumped by a worse mistake on the part of Bradley. That won't happen against good teams, we we've still got some stuff to shore up.

Also, still a bit of the "shaq and others standing around watching a loose ball hit the floor in front of them" on the defensive boards, which is never a good look.
these guys just need a confidence boost...and playing teams like Bradley will do that. Once they all get on the same page...I think they'll do us all proud.

For the first time this season we looked like a real bonified team. Crisp passes, lobs, kick-outs, good D, and finally the press. Our guys were fired up and this should be the norm. Coach even showed real adaptation with the rotation.

I know we will still have growing pains but I was impressed last night.

To paraphrase what I said when the football Tigers beat the snot out of Austin Peay way back at the beginning of the season, Bradley was total slaw, but it's still good that we pounded them.

It seems pretty simple, when our guards can penetrate, good things happened every time. When they can't, it is really ******* ugly.
