Decisions
I know what went into the committee's decisions.

RATINGS
COVERING ALL SECTIONS OF THE COUNTRY FOR "FAIRNESSS"
MATCHUPS (Saban vs. Meyer)
MONEY

I am not surprised by the four teams, but I was hoping that justice would prevail. I love CFB, but this game sure loves to stab me in the gut. Repeatedly. The BCS wasn't this bad.

I agree with Rick Neuheisel. The Big 12 teams got the shaft. On College Football Radio they noted how heavy the Pac 12 and Big 10 were represented on the committee. SEC is also, but they didn't point that out. It was pretty interesting listening. Much better than ESPin. The host, Packer, favored Ohio St.

But its still better than the old system.

Its perhaps less predictable, but they aren't so heavily dependent on rating teams based on things that make no sense, like their brand name and how they were ranked in preseason or even how they were ranked last week. Ohio St. might not have made it in if Texas or Oklahoma was Big 12 champ, but it didn't weigh as heavily as it does with the polls.

It's only better than the old system because there are 4 teams that get a chance to play for the National Championship instead of 2. 4 is better but still not enough.

OU/UT have always been the Big12's cowbell programs, and it did hurt Baylor and TCU's chances, but Baylor's SoS didn't help them either. TCU has a legit complaint imo, but the lack of a CCG hurt everyone in the Big12. We'll see how the Big12 deals with it.
