DO IT! Save the Belt for the Western Teams. . . . . .

I think it is a good idea. SBC team vs. CUSA, just want to snub the MWC in some way. However we probably wouldn't get the backing from the State Government the way the NM Bowl has. Although with the NM bowl having a sponsor the State is not funding it like it is.

What I have suggested is from internet discussion by NMSU fans. Sorry TXST fans, but I have listened to you guys complain for a full week about not getting a bowl invite. First time around in the SBC NMSU was bowl eligible one year, but we did not get to go, because the SBC only had one bowl tie in at the time. 40 odd years from the last time we were in a bowl and we don't get to go. Life isn't fair. Several TXST fans have suggested TXST needs to be in CUSA. Would you guys be any more likely to get a bowl invite in CUSA then the SBC?

I do agree there should be more bowls in the west. The problem is finding money to do so and whether there will be an interest for a bowl in whtever city may host it.

For me a move to cusa is not about bowls per say, it's a better fit for TX ST. And like all the rest of you, we just want what's best for our school. Not sure that one bowl in the west would change that ....

Hope you're wearing your asbestos underwear, coming over here and expressing an opinion like that . . . . .

I can not blame you for feeling that way at all. Any team should be considered if bowl worthy no matter where you're located. I do not think the GoDaddy Bowl would give USA any preferential treatment now or ever, or at least I hope not.

At one time Little Rock was trying to put together a bowl at War Memorial Stadium (55k seats) with former UALR AD Peterson trying to get it up and running. It would be decent proximity to ASU, ULM, and TX State....closer to NMSU but it fell through last I heard. Supposedly for SBC and MAC or CUSA.

And then Little Rock's AD got canned for going on a rant about parts of the female form over the public address system at a school function.

And he wasn't getting any help from Little Rock's leaders, who seem to think that sports is the one Saturday a year the Pigs play at War Memorial.

Personally, I don't think a Bowl in LR helps us out at all. I just see it as another Bowl willing to take stAte, because of geography, like Camellia did this year. It opens up GoDaddy....for another team closer to it than TXST.

Who the hell are you? The Sun Belt Board Police? Not that it's any of your business, but I'm first and foremost a BOBCAT NATIONALIST. And if a change of conferences is best for my Cats, then I'm sure as hell on board. Hey MODS. . . Please feel free to replace Sun Belt Nationalist with BOBCAT NATIONALIST on my profile.

When we first landed in the Belt, I was alright with being here . . . Over time, certain realities presented themselves, those realities became the basis for a change of mind. . . . . that ok with you?
