Thoughts on Iverson??
Not much scuttlebutt on the board about Iverson last night after so much anticipation on his return. Although he appeared clumsy at times I think if he stays healthy he's going to make a big difference in this team. He seems to have a good basketball IQ and the pass he made to King for that "thunderdunk" was great.

RE: Thoughts on Iverson??
Looks like the best NBA prospect on the team...6-9 and handles well for his size, seems explosive and has good vision.

RE: Thoughts on Iverson??
Kuran was in attack mode every time he touched the ball. It was refreshing to see one of our wings put pressure on the defense with the dribble. I didn't have any expectations for him after sitting out so long, but he changed the dynamic of this team when he was at the 3.

He brings up the level of the whole team...Agree with OP. That pass to Nick was beyond awesome.

Great effort by him last night.

He and Burrell got caught trying to do too much at times but they will learn.

Nick bailed him out on that pass. Left his feet while stuck under the goal on the baseline.

He's a guy that can get you 8 & 4 by just being on the court, much like Nick. As KI continues to develop I think he can be the best player on the team. I'm not getting carried away after just one game, but he has loads of potential!

Concussion thing no longer an issue. That was the best thing about his debut.

+ BIGXII...Whoopee!!! I hope it's in the highlight reel, caus I didn't see the game! Im glad that there was flashes of capabilities that some could see....This sounds so awesome and raises the bar tremendously of what this and future teams could become, if Pastner allows Ivo the opportunity to gel; assert himself and gain confidence.....There is maybe one or two playmakers on this team that can see the floor from a whole different perspective(creating unique opportunities and passing angles that even coaches don't teach) And Ivo Has IT!
If he can acclimate himself between 3-4-5 positions, and take advantage of who he can take advantage of on defense....It puts our abilities on a whole different stratosphere....We can go from marginal to unguardable overnight.... Lets hope the coaching staff continues to hone and develop our team based on the the strengths and advantages we have at our disposal......And attack;attack;attack our opponents rather than allowing our opponents to dictate the flow & outcome of our games.......

Just freakn WIN Baby

Nick was breaking from behind a defender. It's amazing Iveson even saw him, and even much more amazing that had the wherewithal to make that perfect pass.

Nick's dunk, of course, was just as spectacular. He was farred up!

Still don't see him putting it all together. He's a full year older than Andre Drummond. At what age does it stop being potential?

RE: Thoughts on Iverson??
Before he entered the game I thought we still looked a little lost with gaurs play. He made two or three plays immediately that changed the whole feel for the game. He got the whole team more aggressive. Hope he continues to improve. Also listening to him after the game, he seems to have his head on straight.

It was a bailout. He was trapped under the basket and threw a prayer in hopes Nick could get there.

Glad it worked out, but that was a bad, bad play that just happened to have a good ending.

A lot of Sports moments are like that--instinctive reactions that produce outstanding results. What would you rather have: Balllplayer falls out of bounds and has a 1 added to his turnover total, or a pass that lead to a Kingly dunk?

Good players go for it when they get in tight corners If they didn't, we wouldn't get to watch all kinds of fun highlights on ESPN.

And furthermore...lol....it is that 'do-or-die' mentality in combination with the physical fitness of a player that produce outstanding physical results that none of us ever thought were humanly possible.

That kind of energy kicks a whole team forward.

I just watched it again. Sorry to say, Iverson pushed off big time to get free to pass. Loved the play, obviously, but the ref missed his forearm shiver on the baseline.

I think Josh still yanked him. My favorite decision of the night was when Pookie got yanked for missing a 12 footer at the end of the shot clock.

My favorite was Nichols sitting for about 8 mins early in the 2nd half for no apparent reason. Instead we saw Godfrey during most of those minutes.

The better play was his drive and feed to Nichols for the dunk

Say what you want about Godfrey, but the guy more than doubled Austin's rebound total in less than half the PT last night.
