Samoan's. It is part of their "warrior" nature. That's why Hawaii is always starting fights. I heard the Hawaii fans will fight you in the stands during the game.

Wait, I thought they were Mormons? Those are the ones with multiple wives and tons of children so that they can populate their own universe in the afterlife.

RE: Anybody watched BYU game?
I know I watched BYU at least once this year (probably BYU v Boise St), but nothing stands out in my memory about them. Looking at their schedule, I didn't see any ranked team that they defeated or lost to. Memphis lost to both the ranked teams they faced (UCLA 11, Ole Miss 10), but played very well against both. It's difficult to determine how strong BYU is simply by looking at their schedule, but one of the teams they lost to (Boise) was smoked 35-13 by Ole Miss. I did see that game and was not impressed by Boise. Boise beat BYU 55-30. And, of course, Memphis lost 24-3 to Ole Miss. Can you draw any conclusion from that? Probably not. But it's fun to roll around in your brain.

One thing is for sure: I'll be in front of my TV at 2 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, Dec. 22, pulling like crazy for Memphis. I've be a Tigers fan for longer than most on this board have been alive (I was at Crump Stadium when Memphis State tied Ole Miss 0-0). I very, very proud that Memphis has returned to respectability. I'm pulling for Memphis to get into one of the Big Boy conferences so they'll have a shot at larger bowls, better recruits and more TV games.

I was at the game in Boise and was disappointed that BYU didn't give them a game especially since they had a lot of fans. If we stuff the run they don't have much in the air. Our D is so much better than they have seen this year. They also aren't that quick. If we take care of business this is ours.

BYU 64 Savanna St. 0 (Win)
BYU 42 California 35 (Win)

Both teams on nice win streaks.

UNLV is horrible. Larry Porter horrible. They put 23 on them.

As long as we don't go in like we're just happy to be there we should have a real good chance. I've seen them a lot this year and when they get it going they're hard to beat. We have to be physical with them. If so we'll be ok.

"As long as we don't go in like we're just happy to be there we should have a real good chance"

This is a trait that is totally not indicative of a Coach Fuente lead team! We learned that against UCLA; Ole Miss; Cincy. ...This team has defined goals and has proven that they are focused and play with purpose. ....so I don't think there will be an issue here....
I do think BYU will be just as focused and this will definitely be four quarters of challenging football....BYU can bring a level of intensity and trash talk similar to the level of the Ole Miss game.....however, with this being neutral, the team that brings the highest level of intensity, will have an advantage. ...jmo

Not sure what you mean. I am just reporting what I was told by people who went out there to play them in a game.

While they pass a lot it's because they have 4 guys who are good RBs stop the run and beat the cougs

Yep, I saw the Texas game and thought they would beat everyone they played. They manhandled Texas. This is a real deal football squad.

Pretty much nails it. We keep them below 150 yards on the ground and under 30 points we win!
