I thought I'd start a new thread, as much of the bowl talk has been spread out in multiple threads.

There used to be this great head shop in DeKalb where you could pick up some quality merchandise.

I only see 3 possiabilities

1. GoDaddy doesn't budge and we go back to Mobile for a 2011 (2012) rematch.

2. UofI is picked by Armed Forces Bowl and GoDaddy is willing to swap NIU for the Illini. Likely vs Houston.

3. Frazier and ESPN work their magic with GoDaddy and get a NIU/Marshall bowl in Boca or Bahamas.

I honestly think they will play Marshall somewhere, probably Boca. I just don't see how you could let your 11-2 conference champ play a 5 loss Sun Belt team. If they keep that matchup, the conference loses its damn integrity. Might as well finish 4th and get a better bowl matchup. Doesn't make sense. Sean Frazier and ESPN will get it done if the conference doesn't. I know there is some talk about Houston and UofI (puke), but I think those moves are a lot more involved than Boca.

Nevermind...just saw ESPN owns the Armed Forces bowl as well. ESPN will be our greatest ally.

Right now its GoDaddy against Ark State

I want anything besides GoDaddy.

Likewise. I want Marshall. BSU gets the access slot, but the NIU/Marshall matchup would pit the two other dominate teams from the group in a head to head. What's not to like there?

Well, they are contractually obligated to go, so this is the obvious pick for everyone.

And I should clarify that me wanting a different bowl has anything to do with the Go Daddy Bowl not being a good bowl game. I'm sure it's fantastic. From what I heard from everyone who went last time, they had a phenomenal time. It's strictly based on the matchup.
