RE: Halftime - Mercer 48 - VMI 45 (Final - Mercer 90-81)
The bigs that worried me about Mercer (5-4) are not getting much playing time. They really play a short rotation this year with 5 guys getting 28.7-33 minutes, 1 guy getting 13.0, and everybody else getting 8.6 and less with very little production.

Ike Nwamu 6'5" 205; 33.9 minutes, 17.2 ppg on 42.4 from 3; 3.8 rebounds
T.J. Hallice 6'10" 220 (listed as 6'9" in previous years); 31.8 minutes, 9.8 ppg, 6.7 rebounds
Jibri Bryan 6'4" 185; 31.6 minutes, 9.4 ppg on 31 from 3, 4.4 rebounds
Darious Moten 6'6" 215; 28.9 minutes, 9.4 ppg on 40 from 3, 4.9 rebounds
Phil Leonard 6'2" 200; 28.7 minutes, 10.0 ppg, 3.9 rebounds
Jordan Strawberry 6'1" 175; 13.0 minutes, 3.7 ppg, 1.7 rebounds

UTC (3-5) has also struggled.

Wofford remains the only team in the SoCon that should rate above us at this point, and they just do not have a size advantage over the Bucs.

Wofford's two losses (5-2) give us a chance to pull ahead next Saturday. Their strength of schedule is better, which keeps them ahead of us for now. Pre-conference performances all around do suggest a showdown between Wofford and ETSU. However, we are reminded of the Bucs' curse for playing at the level of competition. I think WCU was the (gentle) reminder. We'll see!

Wofford picked up a win over NC State today in Raleigh. The Voles also knocked off #15 Butler today in Knoxville.
