RE: Nice pic
They should have brought CeCe over to PBS and had him suit up.

He's acted that way for every in-home visit...but I think the thing we've got going for us is the fact that he's been tweeting a ton of stuff about being his own person, not wanting to follow in other people's footsteps.

Well, that's encouraging. He's a kid, though. Kids change their minds every 5 seconds.

While signing him is a longshot... Have we ever had a recruit of his ranking/caliber visit Cincinnati?

Not as a high school senior. Nowhere near it. Best we've had visit before this was a DT 4-5 years ago who was in the #120's. This kid is #5 overall on 247's rankings.

I know its splitting hairs, because he was a local kid, but wasn't Adolphus Washington ranked #25?

Yep, youre right, my mistake. I didnt think he took an official because he had all but eliminated us from the start. I was talking about the kid who ended up choosing BC (he was from the NE).

Regardless, this is the highest ranked recruit who has visited and genuinely seems interested in joinging our program by a far stretch.

That's the thing. All you need is someone like CeCe to show interest
And then it makes the 4* and high 3* check you out

The * rating means nothing, but if he is anywhere close to as talented as people say, he would instantly become a monster in the AAC.

And there is no chance they could justify that move. Kid is potentially the BEST player in this class OVERALL.

Agree. He would likely dominate and get mentioned constantly about the great season he is having, even against inferior competition. He starts from day one at UC and there is no guarantee that is the case elsewhere.

At some point some of these high guys need to realize the benefits of the smaller conference or team and that the grass is not always green at the blue blood schools. You still get on TV and the NFL will find you with no problems. Plus you don't run the risk of being lost in the shuffle. Just look at all the elite guys that transfer out after a year or two because the promises weren't true and then they dominate at another school. Will the NFL hold that against them that they couldn't see the field elsewhere and only dominated inferior competition? Are they better off dominating from day one and not having that cloud of uncertainty over them of why they couldn't get on the field at another school (See Jeff Luc)?

Suffered a shoulder injury. They could use that to downgrade him. Not saying it's justified, but, i can see it happening.

Don't forget the elephant in the room. They don't call them O$U and the $EC for nothing. UC can't compete with their signing bonuses. 05-stirthepot

If we got him at his current rating and if I'm doing the math correctly (BIG if), UC's class would instantly jump into the Top 30
