2015-2016 season already? Temple should be pissed Aersco sold their slot to a 7-5 BYU to play in Miami. Dangers of selling bowl slots, how do you explain to the AAC team left out it was a good decision. Monday Dec 22nd at 2pm vs a 7-5 BYU instead of Christmas Eve game in the Bahamas.

temple should be pissed they were only 6-6...they could have posted a better record to get the bowl..
aresco is pushing for this bowl to eventually be a big bowl in 5 years and had a projected top 25 team willing to sign on intially, aresco unforuntately isnt able to read reader into the future to know byu would lose its heisman qb

and we are courting byu to join, this move was essential in building a relationship with them

and we have like 3 backup bowls aswell as a chance at the access...no one predicted like everyone form the ACC big 10 and SEC would be 6-6..big 12 is the only conference not projected to fill their bowl spots and 7 oftheir 10 made bowls..their will only be 1 nonfilled bowl spot this year..unforunteatly for temple its against a AAC team...no one even thought we'd fill all our bowl spots to start the season

If the Birmingham wants anyone there?...they better put someone close by as our opponent. Many of us that went there to play USF will not be making the return trip. I won't elaborate further.

Memphis vs South Carolina in B'ham would put over 45,000 fans in the stadium (and make my family very happy). I reserved a hotel in B'ham a month ago. If any AAC school other than Memphis is sent to B'ham, both the bowl and the AAC office are stupidly incompetent despite the fact that Memphis has asked for Miami in order to please the players.

I agree. I hope I am wrong..but..if ECU is in that bowl? Our attendance is going to be God awful.

I'm one of them. I refuse to go back to a bowl in Birmingham.

I wish Priate fans had told your AD, the B'ham Bowl and Aresco this. Most people never take such action - they just wait and ***** later.

In case there's a 6-6 team with no other options.

Plus, on the list of possible road-trips in December, you could do a lot worse than Orlando.

don't know the correct answer, but Legion Field is in a terrible part of town and it's getting to be a crappy stadium

I have to preface my comment with that fact I have not been there since 2006. It may have improved some....but....in a nutshell? The city did nothing to welcome the fans or support the event. Even the Police were hostile towards the fans. It was not a good experience. The asskicking we got from USF was the best part of the event. Ive been to over a dozen bowl games in the past 40 years and never ran into anything even remotely like this.

Well that's understandable, I've been to B'ham, it's not great just never been to that bowl.
