Okay, probably hyperbole.

But the New Jersey Institute of Technology Highlanders:
- Only Independent in Division I Basketball
- Losing streak of 51 games & 702 days just a few years ago

The 2-5 Highlanders just walked into Ann Arbor and took down Michigan.

Holy. Crap.

Massive congratulations to their school and fans!

They made a good decision when they changed their name from South Hackensack Institute of Technology.

It would be nice if they were able to host Michigan next year as a reward

Yale's win at UConn a few days ago was a huge upset.

This might be bigger. Michigan is not the defending national champions like UConn, but NJIT is not nearly as good as Yale.

NJIT probably wants America East more, as they added lacrosse which the AEC deems a mandatory sport for new members.

While it would be prudent to have everything under one roof, I like the idea of at least NJIT men's soccer staying in the Sun Belt.

I have a relative who has connections in the NEC and that person told me that NJIT has been asking the NEC for membership.

My mighty Boilermakers were also upset IN MACKEY ARENA by North Florida 73-70. Ugh.
