GTS' world is crashing down before him.

Well, at least they beat UGA this year. I guess you can't win 'em all.

I like PJ and the system. His problems all along have been recruiting and defense. Roof appears to have the defense making strides. Now to start recruiting properly ... which has made some administrative improvement in the last year.

GTS - I would propose to you that Johnson's recruiting and defensive problem is calculus. I know some help has been given in this regard, but unless I am out of date, you can not graduate from GT without passing the first level calculus class. I have two doctorates and could not pass calculus, let alone differential equations.

It is a huge part of the problem. But short of going private to escape GABOR and getting a President who wants to take up that fight... what is GT gonna do?

It's really hard to recruit highly rated kids for his offense, but on the defensive side of the ball the line gotta be bigger than 6'2 250. Sh*t, I've seen plenty of small school HS's w/ bigger DL's than that.

Lost an entire string worth of the DL in the offseason, included two projected starters. Ineligibilities and transfers.

TRUE, but it's hard to recruit to Ga Tech anyway (due to academics). I've thought about this a lot, and my conclusion is this: until something changes with respect to admissions and majors offered, this is probably the best thing GT can do.

This is a good move by GT. I like Paul Johnson and with the academic restrictions at GT I think he's the right man for the job.
