Great TEAM victory, congrats guys! However, I hope Beebe recovers quickly after that nasty injury. I didn't think much at first, thought maybe he jammed his shoulder when that BG player came in as Beebe was going out & down already. When game came back from break & announcers said they weren't going to show what happened we rewound the dvr & went frame by frame to see if we could see anything, because in full speed and angle showed, didn't look too bad. WOW, we were wrong, that arm looked like Icky Woods leg in that Super Bowl against the 49ers... Nasty injury, surprised bone wasn't protruding out on his forearm. Hope he'll be OK & back with the team soon. He's an exciting player that I want on the field with TLL next year!!
Best wishes Beebe, & a speedy recovery!! 04-cheers

Yeah, his season is done, hope he recovers quickly. If he's not ready to go full speed for next year, still has his red shirt to give.

It was very rough to look at.

Beebe is a tough grown man. I was going to say tough kid, but after that injury and having only the look of disappointment on his face because he couldn't play anymore was beyond me. I would have been screaming like Nancy Kerrigan.

I think it looked nasty but with it being his arm and not a torn something, will make it for a good recovery. Bone just needs to heal together. Nasty but doesn't affect running, jukes, etc,

Beebe..you da man! Get well

Take your time, Chad, let it heal properly and come back when you're 100 percent. So glad it didn't affect the outcome, and you were a big part of this championship team.

Also should really say thank you to the BG trainer who initially helped Chad out.

It hurt more to set it than breaking it. I had a similar break when I was 10 and it hurt, but when they pull your arm to set the bone that was the worst pain ever. Even more than breaking my hip.... He should be fine by spring ball, will just need to lift more to rebuild the muscles.

RE: Beebe
After a fractured shoulder all I can say is let it heal Chad. The waiting is frustrating as hell, but the day you start PT and can then do something to help your recovery is GREAT! Still, live through the frustrating days of waiting for it to heal - they suck and they're frustrating, but the rest of the recovery won't go well if you don't let that happen.

That quite possibly is the most gruesome injury I've ever seen an NIU player suffer. Can anyone remember one just bad or worse?

I didn't really see what happened, and will not look at it.

I also didn't see Ricky Crider at Wisconsin, but I remember the description that the whole air went out of the stadium-- immediate dead silence. I imagine that was pretty bad.

Good luck to Chad in the recovery. Thanks for your amazing effort. In a short time, you are already a Huskie favorite.

Well, the bowl -- regardless of which one -- will be in January. I'm sure Beebe will be able to walk it off by then.

Huh? Walk off a broken arm? Plus, that severely broken arm will not be healed by January. Whatchu takin' 'bout, Willis?

It was my attempt at humor and given that he's a tough kid, maybe make one-handed catches.

nice to see him on the sidelines in the sling to be with his team shortly after the injury. Thought for sure he'd be at the hospital.

Agreed, it looked like a terrible break. I hope that he gets excellent medical treatment and that he makes a full recovery. I have really enjoyed watching him play, every time he touches the ball I am on the edge of my seat thinking he has a chance to score or to make a big play. Beyond that and more importantly he seems like a high character individual who has earned my respect. Chad is an easy person to root for and the type of athlete that makes me proud of our program.

It was a major break & could require surgery, screws etc. I do hope it is healed by spring. He is a super tough kid & a true asset to the team. I'm looking forward to watching him play for a few more seasons.

Heal well & quickly Chad.

The good news is, usually with a clean break it's easier to fix. i'm not sure what the extent was, but that judging by the pictures it looked like a pretty clean break to me.

I think Loos 2 years ago was worse. Broke his leg in 2 spots and they guys on the field freaked out immediately.
