For What It's Worth
My Thoughts…

I made it home from coaching bball without hearing any news on the game. That was a success!

Akeem Daniels - I've been his biggest hater. He was awesome tonight! My foot is in my mouth.

Canada - Amazing tonight. No words.

Compton - This guy was awesome. The D-Line was solid.

Secondary - Opportunistic.

Hare - Played big in a big game. Root and possibly Ingold if we land him, may have to wait a while.

Rebuilding year lol. Go Dawgs!

Good post.
I like Akeem. Wish he was healthy the last 2 years.
D was awesome. Folliard played great first half. Dline was very good. Dbacks and lbs played well. Great game all around.

RE: For What It's Worth
Glad the game wasn't spoiled for you. I find myself watching a lot of the games on DVR. If you can manage to not hear the results it is almost better. No commercials, no distractions from this board. When I watch it live I sometimes find myself paying too much attention to the board and not enough to the game.

My wife has sat next to me for the Kent State and BG wins. She knew all along and has played along. She's been awesome about it. Let's me celebrate and get upset even though she knows the outcome.

My wife often sees the results on Facebook before I watch the game. She is also pretty good at faking it Rimshot

Seriously though, she has no interest to sit and watch the game with me but understands that giving me a hint of what happened would spoil one of my small joys in life. It is great women can understand us (or at least make an effort). I wish I could understand my wife's fascination with shoes and purses - suppose I could start by not giving her a hard time about filling our closet with both.

You picked a winner. I hope you're rich or handsome or something (insert emoticon to indicate jokiness).

RE: For What It's Worth
Im one of Akeem's biggest fans, and man was it great to have him at NIU.

When he's healthy, he just offers so much versatility. Not to mention, he kills big games. Tonight, 2012 MACC, and Orange Bowl.

I'm also one of Durantes biggest haters because he's super frustrating. When he wants to play, dude is a monster. When he doesn't uhh he makes me mad. Watch tonight, last week, 2011 MACC and Purdue and he has Ward type skills, he needs to do it consistently and he will play on Sundays next year.

Great win tonight dogs! Defense was stifling. To think, most of that unit comes back next year.

Watching the game I thought the same thing about Akeem and Durante. Do you think it is a matter of effort? Why can't they play big all the time? Akeem has been hurt, so maybe that explains his problems. Durante, though - he has been lousy in some games and huge in others. Perplexing. If he played the way he did tonight every game he would probably have made himself a very wealthy person.

I think Akeem is pure health. Whenever he was healthy and got his reps he played well. His first three seasons he scored like every 7-8 touches.

Durante seems like error when you watch him play. Dude is an immense talent though.

The hotel bar was soooooooooooo much fun. Coach Joe, Pat Schiller, Chandler Harnish.,I know there were other ex-players there, but didn't get a chance to talk to them. Chants of "NIU." What a night!

How was the NIU crowd? My dad went but I couldn't be there...unfortunately. He said niu had more fans than BG. BG seemed to bring a decent following and tv only showed their side. I was upset I couldn't go this year because I really wanted to show support, but was hoping we had a decent following

Seemed a little lighter than past years. Disappointing. I'll save my attendance rant for a different day.

I think for the first time in a long time we are seeing a healthy Akeem who has now played enough to be playing at the high level that he is capable of. With him, I would not question his work ethic or effort.

I was waiting for your post 'this game is over' after our 1st td. Did I miss it?

Akeem was not only looking quicker, but he runs hard into tackles and delivers a good blow to the defender. I don't remember that when he was a freshman-sophomore.

Probably due to the fact that there wasn't the big national implication that the last 2 years have had.
