Why would we want anything other than the Bahama Bowl as first choice? I don't see it mentioned much here and kind of thought it would be the fun one? Cost too much for fans and univeristy?

The Bahamas would be a nice reward for the players.

As a fan the Bahamas & Boise are expensive to get to especially on short notice.

I'm hearing it's the Bahamas bowl for us.

Wouldn't be surprised if some wheelin' & dealin' sends Northern Illinois to Boca to play Marshall--which would be a good game. If so, I'm thinking Toledo goes to Mobile as the "next best" MAC team available due to the wins over BG and WMU.

The MAC office issued a news release regarding the bowls and where each MAC team is going. As of now (about 3:30 Eastern Sunday afternoon) a couple of these say the opponent is TBA. Along with UT in the GoDaddy Bowl, Western is going to Boise, Central to the Bahamas, Northern to Boca Raton and BG to Montgomery.

Looks like CMU gets WKU in the Bahamas, and WMU gets The Air Force in Boise. Lookin' like two MAC losses to me!

Furthermore, with BG vs. South Alabama in the Chameleon Bowl, the BG team who probably feels like they can't beat anybody now that they've run out of MAC Least games, vs. the team making its first ever bowl game in its home state...gotta like USA in this one, BIG. NIU/Marshall - kind of leaning NIU on this one, but maybe just wishful thinking on my part. I do like our chances against the Indians but it's no slam dunk (but is it ever?).

Coupled with being on Dec. 24th. Would have had to make plans to be traveling for Christmas long before this.

You can get a passport in Detroit in a total of 3 days if you really want to. Have to pay additional $160 for the expedite service and pay for parking downtown. Plenty of time to get one without going downtown, but it would still need to be expedited. Anyone without a passport should think about getting one when there is plenty of time to get it. You just never know when you will need one for any of a number of emergencies.
