Of course, he works for ESPN and is probably paid to say stuff like that. Besides he may not be good enough to cover the weekend games yet, so midweek games keep him employed and provide experience to help him to improve his broadcast skills. It probably was one of the best things they did for him.

Not normally a big Danny Kannell fan, but he did make an argument to extend the playoff to 8 teams and having at least one spot for a G5 school. Have to give him credit for that, especially since he QB'd at a powerhouse like Florida St.

I agree completely. How many years is it now that Toledo has one conference loss and doesn't get in the MACC. If conferences are going to have divisions, then they need to be balanced. The SEC is another example of the balance of power being on one side. A rematch of Toledo/NIU last night would have made for better viewing for ESPN and way more interest Nationally. Put Toledo in the East and move Miami in the West. It protects the BG/Toledo rivalry and sets up much better MACC games. It's a shame the MAC hasn't figured it out. And please forget about basketball... All Conference alignment is based on Football.
