With a three way tie who would gain access?

I have no clue really; just curious. Maybe that would have been agreed upon before the season started.

Which ever team that was ranked highest would gain entry to the access bowl under your scenario.

I think BCS ranking would determine the rep.

BCS Ranking....came up in 2012 with a 4 Way tie with Louisville, Syracuse, Rutgers and Cincinnati.

Also a multi-team tie in '08 IIRC. Went to UC that year.

BCS Ranking wasn't the first tie breaker though. In 2010 UConn got the BCS bid beacuse they won against the other two teams they were tied with (WVU and Pitt). Pitt was the highest ranking team going into the bowls.

You're correct, but that wouldn't come into play this year due to the fact that not all of the Top teams played each other. Regardless of the Memphis-UC result, it would still go down to BCS ranking.

It would be the team with the highest BCS ranking.

Nope. Both UC BCS trips were outright titles. We would have won any tie that year anyway (swept the teams in contention and higher BCS) so there was a lot of talk the last week about how UC was going to the Orange even if they lost and created a big tie. UC killed Syracuse anyway and the topic was pointless.

I stand corrected. They say the memory is the first thing to go.
