Gary Patterson would be a coup for them but not sure they want the spread offense he is running. He turned an also ran TCU into THE state power right now in Texas. Since scUM is now the 3rd best team in the state they could use a program builder.

Just don't see them getting back together with Jim Harbaugh which is probably who they are fixated on.

seeing more of Schiano's name out there and that scares me. I don't think PJ would leave for a non-HC position but schiano is the one case that scares me

I thought the Free Press reported he turned them down already?

He has said he is under contract until the end of this season. He can't talk right now I guess.

Colin Cowherd seems to think he knows who they will hire.

Gary Patterson is not leaving TCU for Michigan.

U-M job is not as good as the Blue Bloods would like to believe.

I know he is not but I just don't see who they hire that they are going to be excited about? I can't come up with a name.

No way Fleck leaves right now to be an OC for anyone, period.

If they can't get Harbaugh or Miles, they are going to have to "settle" for someone like Schiano.

If they could get David Shaw, that would be good "get."

He's a Left Coast guy through and through, though.

I like this quote about Michigan.

Michigan owns a proud tradition and significant resources, but it's an analog program in a digital college football world. Yes, you can win there. But it's becoming increasingly difficult to win it all there.

In an article about why Miles will not leave LSU.

It helps that LSU will be back to elite next year with all these freshmen.

IF they find a QB, they will give the rest of the SEC west fits. Fournette is VERY good and if they can find someone to throw the football Dupree could turn out to be a Randy Moss type player.

Gary Pinkel. That is my big splash hire. From Ohio coached successfully in the MAC. Would be his last job. Turned down the job in the past.

Honestly, Kimbo, in the past 24 hours, I have also been thinking about the possibility of Pinkel to Michigan. It would make a lot of sense IMO. Michigan would get a long-time head coach who has been a proven winner everywhere he's been. Regardless of how the SEC championship game turns out tomorrow, I think he has accomplished as much at Mizzou as he can possibly accomplish.

If Michigan did approach him, the big question for him would be if he wants to coach a few more relatively pressure-free seasons at Mizzou and call it a career, or take a final career shot at a place with nearly limitless resources.

Interesting stat regarding Pinkel: tomorrow will be his fourth conference championship game in the past eight seasons (two in the Big XII; two in the SEC) - but he hasn't won one yet.

Mizzou is a tough job, always in shadow of OU and Nebraska. Didn't get easier going to SEC. Pinkel's done well to last there this long.

Hadn't thought of him, maybe because he's older (I played against him). But then again, so is Miles.

He could be the candidate nobody was talking about Colin Cowherd referenced earlier this week on ESPN Radio.

Pinkel would be a home run hire for M.

Uh, no. The SEC East is atrocious. Pinkel got his rear end handed to him in the Big 12. Then all of the sudden he ends up in the SEC and he plays in title games.
