Yeah. Bigtime.

He would have been fine there, his style of play just didn't fit the leftovers from Carr's team. You can see that Hoke's 1st couple of teams (mostly Rich's guys) were the best.

Anyone who knows football knows the guy can flat out coach.

He had West Virgina as a top 10 team before taking the Michigan job. And it was no fluke, he had built a serious program there.

Yep, and it think it also means that Michigan isn't the job that it once was or that their fans think it is.

Really? Zook and Muschamp ended up being "bad fits" but it doesn't take away Florida's appeal.

I don't think it was so much a bad fit...as he didn't have enough of HIS recruits to play the style of football that he wanted to play.
It would have taken a few years of his recruiting for him to get the kind of players needed to play his offense.
Michigan grew impatient waiting on results.
I guess they feel they are above 'rebuilding' years.

One more disaster hire at Florida puts them in the rear view mirror for the time being. Three national championships with two great coaches and they can't get it wrong again.

Zook and Muschamp were not bad fits they were bad Head Coaches, I am sure some coaches think twice about considering Michigan after they ran RichRod -- they were on him from the get go for not playing the style they wanted and not being a 'Michigan Guy' ...

Florida's appeal just landed them Colorado State's coach. And they had to pay out the arse for him...

Zook wasn't a "bad fit" at UF...he's a bad head coach. Proved as much at his next stop.

Muschamp made a mistake early on with the hire of Fat Charlie as his OC. Also, they made some bad decisions on QBs and had injuries that killed the roster last year. Those decisions ultimately did him in...

but Will is going to be fine. He'll get paid $1M per year to be a dominant DC at a major program and then he'll get another HC gig when the time is right. I fully expect him to bounce back as a HC and have success.

Read on twitter. ...Gil Brandt says that Michigan offered their job to David Cutcliffe...and he TURNED THEM DOWN.
How bad is it at Michgan if you get rejected by David Cutcliffe?

That is bad, but Cutcliffe isn't right for that job. He's 60 years old, and prefers a lower-profile job opportunity. It seems that Cutcliffe is happy where he's at.

Michigan is in some trouble, though...
