Per Coach Haynes, the current roster is thin @ CB after the 1st 3 starters and @ QB with the loss of Shrock for the season, but he is very happy with the depth at all other positions.

This is year 3 for Haynes/staff, so it will be interesting to see how they perform with Durham, Fairchild, & Pruitt returning after sitting out last year to provide a lot of experience and size at their positions, as well as James, Woods, & Johnson coming in mid-year, and last, how the offense will perform now that Treadwell has taken over as Offensive Coordinator from Rock.

What happened to Strock? I was unaware he was injured and lost for year if that is indeed the case.

I thought someone said he had a shoulder injury that he had surgery

Isn't he ineligible?

I heard that also but someone on here said it was his shoulder. Guess we know the right answer now. In my opinion there is no reason for that with anyone.

I see the depth chart is up for the first game. Some interesting things.
1. Kris White and Conner Arlia are starting at WR with Calhoun in the slot. Somehow I hadn't heard of Arlia until now but it appears he's a former walk-on turned scholarship player at WVU. I'm a little surprised that Boyle isn't starting. Might be as simple as they want White's height (6'2") on the field with Arlia (5'9") and Calhoun (5'6").
2. Durham is 4th on the RB depth chart behind Holley, Washington, and Hibbler. I wonder if that means he's not healthy or not in shape?
3. Melchiori is no longer the Place Kicker. Shayne Hynes will be handling that job while Melchiori will still kickoff and obviously punt. Probably a good move.

Durham I don't think is in shape. Holley put on a lot of muscle. He is over 200 pounds now and lost NO speed. We need a new place kicker as it cost us a couple of games last year

The Akron game was the last game of the season and according to the box score, Strock didn't play in it.

No worries, happens to everyone. I remembered he got banged up a time or two last year. Didn't remember the specifics of the injuries though.

From what I heard this weekend he left and never came back
