CUSA title game attendance
Is going to be much better than Rice got, but still pathetic. Will be lucky to have 10k people there. 100% chance of rain has stopped ticket sales in their tracks.
What a shame. This game would have pulled 33-35k easily in good weather.

I think the WKU loss has something to do with fan apathy as well. Hopefully you'll sell some tickets even if they don't show up.

We could move it to Ruston. 63 degrees, 20% chance of rain.

How much rain is being expected? I saw on Weather Underground that only a half inch is being forecasted which isn't that bad if its spread throughout the day.

There will be more than 10k there but you are correct that the cool temps and 100% chance of high winds and driving rain is going to put a dent into what should have been a near sellout game. Just cant expect women and small children to stand outside in those elements.

Rain or not, if y'all only pull 10k for that game......come on. That would be just plain sad.

10K is an exaggeration, but the 19-21K range is my fear. The last I saw was 1.8 inches of rain starting Friday going into Saturday.

So, similar weather to last year, if we're throwing accusations and excuses in the same breath

But at least your campus is green. Heck, 1 and a half inches of rain is what we get for the year here. (I'm exaggerating a little, just a little).
Move it to the Sun Bowl, it's beautiful right now.

Difference being we have a history of putting at least 25K-30K butts in seats weekly.
Your attendance is that poor regardless of weather.

If that is indeed the attendance (equal to what Rice got in Houston last year) can we put an end to the Marshall jabs at the 2013 game?

So you put up a few more thousand weekly with three times the enrollment and being the only show in town. Very impressive. I'm not happy with our attendance, but football isn't a very high priority for most Rice students/alums, and it was frustrating when I was a student and it's frustrating now, but I can't say their priorities are wrong. Not that this is relevant to Saturday.

Supposed to rain heavy at times. Sucks for both teams. Our weather for games has been terrible this fall, rain or a good chance, almost every home game. Game time temp in the upper 40's. High of 53 - which will be toward the end of the game.
That said. I say we'll have about 22K there. That's bad for us. ugh!

Rice didnt have 10000 there for the game. Their was maybe 2k, they crammed all in one section to look better on TV.
100% chance of a heavy rain and wind is not an excuse. Its a reason. You had mid 40's temps. Oh my!!!!!!
And its not much of an exaggeration. Maybe 15k but no way we come near 20k. Not in that. Think how fast the stadiums everywhere empty out for rain even in muh warmer days.
